For this project I was tasked with making a chess set that was styled to match the baroque art style. I studied various buildings, sculptures, & other structures to find inspiration for the set. I wanted every piece to have a common feature so I took the base of an ornate pillar and used it as the base for my pieces. The baroque art period was categorized by elegance and gold. I found different ways to incorporate gold into each piece and gave the board a clean stained glass texture.
