For this project I was tasked with creating a 3D model of a molecule. I chose to create a model of ethane. This is a commonly used ball-and-stick model with the blue spheres representing hydrogen and the red spheres representing carbon.

I started off by using simple spheres and cylinders to create my model. I then applied geometry nodes to shade it before adding an area light above and below the molecule. I keyframed the rotation of the molecule to make a simple animation.
